Fiorenzo Fantaccini

Fiorenzo Fantaccini is an Associate Professor of English Literature at the University of Florence. He is the author of W.B. Yeats e la cultura italiana (2011) and of numerous papers on American, English and above all Irish literature as well as translation studies. He has translated works by Edgar Allan Poe, Hawthorne, Jane Austen, Cónal Creedon, Brian Friel, and G.B. Shaw. He edited the volumes The Cracked Lookingglass. Contributions to the Study of Irish Literature (1999, with C.de Petris and J.M. Ellis D'Alessandro), Le riscritture del Postmoderno. Percorsi angloamericani, Altri canoni / canoni altri. pluralismo e studi letterari, and Saggi di anglistica e americanistica. Percorsi di Ricerca (2002, 2011 and 2012 respectively, all with O. De Zordo), and “Still Blundering into Sense.” Maria Edgeworth, her context, her legacy (2019, alongside R. Leproni). He is General Editor of Studi irlandesi. A Journal of Irish Studies. He also edits the series Le rive. Autori traducono autori (Agora & Co).
